The Dallas Art Fair and the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) have revealed the three artworks from this year’s fair that will become part of the museum’s permanent collection. These are Interval I (2023) by Ailbhe Ní Bhriain, SJAMBOKLAND (2022) by Thania Petersen, and The Table of Love (2022) by JooYoung Choi.
Launched in 2016, the Dallas Art Fair Foundation Acquisition Program empowers the DMA to acquire works exhibited at the fair, enhancing the museum's collection and the city's prominence in the global art scene. This year's grant totals at $100,000, adding to the $875,000 contributed thus far. Dr. Anna Katherine Brodbeck, DMA's Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, called the acquisitions "some of the most ambitious acquired through the fund to date.”
