The Dallas Art Fair is pleased to announce the exhibitor list for its eleventh edition. The fair will take place within the Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) in the Dallas Arts District from April 11-14, 2019. Close to 100 exhibitors from over 30 different cities across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia will take part in the 2019 fair. The Dallas Art Fair and its collector base continue to build their repute across the Atlantic, with the fair welcoming several prolific European galleries for the first time, including Sadie Coles HQ (London), Lisson Gallery (London, New York), and Blain|Southern (London, Berlin). As the Dallas Art Fair evolves and expands its reach, the fair will deepen its footprint in the city with a new, permanent project space in the Design District, welcoming year-round exhibitions and programming from its exhibitors and partners. Further details to follow. "This year, we feel the fair's impact on Dallas more than ever," says Dallas Art Fair Chairman, John Sughrue. "Our new project space will open even more doors for our partners and exhibitors, and is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality cultural programming for the city even when the fair is over." Fair week will bring the fourth annual Dallas Art Fair Foundation Acquisition Program. Led by Museum Director Agusti?n Arteaga and Curator Katherine Brodbeck, donors select works directly from participating galleries to be purchased for the Dallas Museum of Art's permanent collection. The 2018 program raised a generous donation of $150,000, with purchased works by Alicia Henry, Brie Ruais, Geraldo de Barros, Matthew Ronay, Sanford Biggers, Shara Hughes, and Tony Lewis. The 2019 Preview Benefit, held on Thursday, April 11, 2019, marks the launch of the Dallas Art Fair, with ticket sale proceeds benefiting the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, and Dallas Contemporary. The benefit offers art patrons and Dallas' top collectors the opportunity to preview and purchase exhibited works prior to the public opening of the fair. Throughout April, the official Dallas Arts Month, institutions and organizations city-wide will present some of their finest events and exhibitions that coincide with the fair. Dallas Art Fair and Dallas Symphony Orchestra's SOLUNA International Music and Arts Festival will partner for a performance by Icelandic artist Egill Sæbjörnsson on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. His signature trolls will come to life through video projections, music and humor. The Nasher Sculpture Centerwill present the first museum survey of Sterling Ruby's sculptures; the Dallas Museum of Art will showcase a solo exhibition by Jonas Wood; Dallas Contemporary will present a Francesco Clemente paintings show; and The Power Station will present a solo exhibition by Rochelle Goldberg. The annual Eye Ball, "Dallas' Best Art Party" held in front of Tony Tasset's 30-foot-tall eyeball sculpture opposite the The Joule hotel, will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The party is in celebration of the Dallas Art Fair in collaboration with The Joule. "Every year, I see Dallas's collector community strengthen and expand. After eleven years, we are proud to verify that art collecting isn't a temporary trend here. Instead, the next generation is taking to the fair," says Dallas Art Fair Director, Kelly Cornell. 2019 EXHIBITORS: Altman Siegel, San Francisco Albertz Benda, New York Anat Egbi, Los Angeles And Now, Dallas Blain|Southern, London and Berlin Beatriz Esguerra Art, Bogotá and Miami Berggruen Gallery, San Francisco CANADA, New York Carbon 12, Dubai Carrie Secrist Gallery, Chicago Cassina Projects, New York Cernuda Arte, Coral Gables, FL Christine Park Gallery, New York Conduit Gallery, Dallas Cris Worley Fine Arts, Dallas David B.
