The Dallas Art Fair and NorthPark Center continue their audience engagement initiative with guided art tours and discussions with three fantastic tour guides: Alison Hearst, Justine Ludwig and Talley Dunn.
The first winter tour begins on January 31 with Alison Hearst. Hearst is the Assistant Curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. She is responsible for the museum’s FOCUS exhibitions as well as exhibitions featuring artists Fred Tomaselli, Joyce Pensato, Thomas Deman and Lorna Simpson. She also has shows in the works with Stanley Whitney and Katherine Bernhardt for 2017. Hearst received her BFA in Art History from the University of North Texas and her MFA in Art History from Texas Christian University.
The tours continue with Justine Ludwig on February 28. Ludwig is the Director of Exhibitions and Senior Curator at Dallas Contemporary. Interested in memory, new media, architecture, economics and the aesthetics of globalization, she has also curated exhibits at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, the Tufts University Art Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. She holds an MFA in Global Arts from Goldsmiths University of London.
Talley Dunn leads the spring tour on March 28. Dunn returned to Dallas after her graduation from Smith College to work in the contemporary art community as an art dealer. She has organized countless exhibitions at her gallery located on Tracy Street. Her eponymous art space focuses on creating lasting relationships with artists, collectors, curators and critics and works on projects in the United States and abroad. Talley Dunn Gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America, New York.
