Since1996, Fredericks & Freiser has been committed to discovering and developing emerging artists as well as recontextualizing artists of earlier generations. Since our beginning as one of the pioneers of the Chelsea art scene, the gallery has had a long history of representing artists who have made distinctive contributions to 20th and 21st century art.

Our artists have won the MacArthur Fellowship, Rome Prize, Baloise Prize; exhibited in the Whitney Biennial, Site Santa Fe Biennial, Documenta, Venice Biennale; collaborated with Prada, Hermes, and Balenciaga; and appeared on the covers of Artforum, Art in America, Modern Painters, Sculpture, Artnews, Purple, and Frieze.
